CFLA-FCAB National Forum: Your Input

CFLA-FCAB is holding its 1st National Forum in Regina on May 2, 2018. The Forum will address 2 issues: Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Freedom.

Those unable to join us in Regina will be able to join via Facebook Live on the CFLA-FCAB site. Please share this widely with your colleagues to help us reach and hear from all those involved in Canada's libraries.

The Forum is carefully designed to blend informative panel sessions with challenging working table conversations that will result in a National Forum Paper and Key Actions for the CFLA-FCAB member organizations to embrace.

To prompt your consideration of these topics, have a look at the variety of postings on Twitter and Facebook with #CFLAFCAB2018, and these two articles:

  1. Protesters Disrupt Lecture by UOttawa Anti-Feminist at Ottawa Public Library
  2. Libraries in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

Participants at the Forum will discuss specific questions at their working tables, designed to inform CFLA-FCAB as our new organization positions Canada's library associations and libraries to address these important issues. This survey poses these questions so that all those interested can provide their input - including those who can't attend the Forum.

Please complete this survey. Thank you for your time and your insight. #BeHeard #CFLAFCAB2018 #StrongVoices for #StrongLibraries
