Announcing the 2015 recipient of the Anne Galler Award

The Anne Galler Award Committee is very pleased to announce that Mr. Lonnie Weatherby is the recipient of the 2015 Anne Galler Award for Outstanding Library Service. This award recognizes an individual who has enriched librarianship in Quebec and has made a lasting contribution to the profession.

Mr. Weatherby is the Liaison Librarian for English, American, Canadian & Italian Literatures; Film and Cultural Studies; and Philosophy in the Humanities and Social Sciences Library at McGill University. During the course of his 40-year career Lonnie has taught countless students, and mentored several librarians, to name just a few of his many contributions. He has always been incredibly generous with his time and expertise.

We present Mr. Weatherby with this award in recognition of his exceptional work. Over the years we in the Quebec library community have benefited from his wisdom, knowledge, and friendship. We know his friends and colleagues will be thrilled to hear this news, and will look forward to honouring him at our annual awards dinner.
