Led by experts in the fields of knowledge management and competitive intelligence, this unique one-day seminar for knowledge workers, information professionals, managers from all sectors and others interested in the topic will provide tools and techniques to spark--and manage--creative ideas in order to raise creative IQ and spur innovative processes in the workplace.

  •  Innovation as a goal of knowledge management.
  •  The key characteristics of creative people.
  • Critical success factors for effective innovation and potential obstacles.
  • The idea management lifecycle: a framework for managing processes related to creativity and innovation.
  • The organizational culture needed for creativity and innovation; case studies highlighting best practices from organizations such as 3M; case studies on innovative products and practices.
  • The role of competitive intelligence in organizational creativity and innovation.
  • Ideation tools and techniques: storytelling, brainstorming, mindmapping/visualization tools, e.g., MindManager, TheBrain, Inspiration; knowledge discovery with techniques such as data mining/text mining; lateral thinking with metaphors; and serendipity.
