The Rotaract Club of Downtown Montreal presents:

The Book Benefit: a cocktail fundraiser in support of the Montreal Children's Library

When: Saturday, November 22, 2014, 7-10pm

Where: Galerie d'Art Loft, 8 rue Saint Paul est

Tickets: $15 students, $30 adults

"An evening of live music, hor d'oeuvres, story telling and a silent auction, with all the proceeds going towards the pruchase of new high-quality books."

Venez vous faire prendre en photo avec en toile de fond quelques unes des plus belles bibliothèques durant la réception 5 à 7 dans la salle d’exposition, prendre un verre et une bouchée  au son d’un trio musical et rencontrer les divers exposants.
 
Dégustez les  beaux desserts qui vous seront proposés mardi et mercredi dans la salle d’exposition en plus des pauses-santé agrémentées de savoureuses collations offertes les 3 jours.

Call for Host proposals: WILU 2016

Memorial University Libraries invites interested institutions to apply to host the Workshop for Instruction in Library Use (WILU) conference in 2016.

Procedures for Submitting a Proposal to Host WILU 2016:

The University or Chief Librarian or Director of Libraries of the interested institution will apply in writing by Monday, December 1, 2014, to Lorraine Busby, University Librarian, Memorial University Libraries.

Partnership Position Available: Editor-in-Chief - Search Extended

Partnership: The Canadian Journal of Library and Information Practice and Research is extending the search for the position of Editor-in-Chief until November 30, 2014.

Partnership is one of Canada's leading open access journals serving the library profession. The journal is published by The Partnership, Canada's national network of provincial and territorial library associations. The Editor-in-Chief holds an ex officio position on The Partnership Board and is accountable to the Board.
