Dewey Divas at Westmount Library on June 2nd

On Wednesday, June 2nd, the Dewey Divas are coming to town to share their picks.  Two of the Divas will be presenting their picks in an evening format.  This is your chance to attend when work keeps you away during the day.

Place: Westmount Library
Time:  7 to 8:30 p.m.
Admission:  $5

Join us for a night with the Quebec Writers' Federation

Bring in Spring with your colleagues as President of the QWF and author of Because I Have Loved and Hidden It, Elise Moser, will be giving a talk with Executive Director Lori Schubert about the history of the organization and the special programs it offers.

This event is presented by the Public Library Section of the ABQLA and will take place on March 15th, 2010 (17h30-19h30) at the Atwater Library, 2nd floor auditorium. The cost is $5. Please RSVP with Melissa Tomecz by March 11th.

Dewey Divas Return to Westmount

On Tuesday, November 3rd, the Dewey Divas are coming to town to share their picks. Five of the Divas will be presenting a mix of adult, YA and kids suggestions.

They will be appearing at the Westmount Library from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Admission is $5

RSVP details will be sent out closer to the date.

Ann Moffat Named 2009 Anne Galler Award Winner

ABQLA is very pleased to the announce that Ann Moffat, Director of the Westmount Public Library is the 2009 Anne Galler Award recipient in recognition of her exemplary leadership and dedication to the library profession in Quebec.

The awards luncheon will take place on Friday May 29th at the Palais des Congrès.

New library for the Saint-Jacques neighbourhood

Today, on the Actualités de Canoe website, is an article about the new neighbourhood library in Saint-Jacques, being billed as the second family library in Montreal, and offering services and programs made to measure for the local clientele.
