ABQLA School Libraries Section AGM and Spring Event

The School Libraries Section invites you to their Spring event: Metaliteracy and Information Literacy in Schools. Join Joan Bartlett (Associate Professor, School of Information Studies, McGill University) as she shares her research on metaliteracy and information literacy, and how they can be applied in school libraries.

This event will adhere to the ABQLA Code of Conduct. 

The School Libraries Section AGM will take place at the beginning of the event.

We will be meeting up to attend La bibliothèque, la nuit, a Virtual Reality Tour of libraries throughout the world.

Repurpose your weeded books to decorate your library!

It is always difficult to throw out weeded books, but Book Art gives you a chance to repurpose them, decorate your library, and gets students involved in maker culture all at the same time! We will be demonstrating a variety of book art techniques including book sculpture, origami, and quilling.
