77th ABQLA Annual Conference (2009)

As we all know, libraries are not just about books and technology. They are also places of culture, individual reflection and social interactions. Film, music and art are important components within our libraries and collections. Are we serving our patrons as well as we could be? For some patrons, books are not the main attraction. Films and music may be the reason they use the library. The arts can be "the ticket" to the library. Can libraries be the ticket to culture? What resources are available to us in order to better serve our clients?

Our pre-conference will provide new thoughts about the importance of libraries to the arts and will educate librarians about resources available.

This pre-conference is for public, school and academic librarians.
