Letter to James Moore concerning cuts to LAC-BAC

Dear ABQLA Members,
As many of you know, at our last Annual General Meeting on May 3, Peter McNally presented a motion regarding the severe budget cuts affecting Library and Archives Canada.  The motion was unanimously adopted by the membership present.

As a follow up to this motion, with the help of Peter McNally, Robin Canuel (VP) and I have sent the attached letter to the Honorable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.  Copies of the letter were also sent to the National Librarian, the Prime Minister, the leaders of the two main opposition parties in the House of Commons, as well as the President of CLA.  A copy was sent to OLA, for the Partnership's information.

If you would like to write your own letter, please feel free to use what you like from ABQLA's letter.

Best regards,
Luigina Vileno
ABQLA President
