Tour of Jewish Public Library

The McGill Student Chapter plans on a tour of the Jewish Public Library, a unique institution that holds North America's largest circulating collection of Judaica. Containing over 150,000 items in English, French, Russian, Hebrew, and Yiddish, the library offers the following services to its members:

- A large Children's Library that holds 30,000 items and offers a variety of children's programming
- Lectures by acclaimed authors, movie nights, cultural events, and Yiddish courses
- Archives documenting Jewish daily life and history in Montreal
- A special non-circulating collection of rare books, Jewish Canadiana, periodicals, and genealogical resources

The McGill Student Chapter will be touring the main collection, the Children's Library, and the Archives.

The tour will take place on Friday, October 26th, at 10AM.

Please meet us at 9:45 in the main lobby of the Cummings Centre (the library is inside the building) at 5151 Côte-Ste-Catherine. You can get there by taking the orange line to Station Côte-Ste-Catherine.
