ABQLA Communications Committee -- two volunteering opportunities

The ABQLA Communications Committee has two openings:  Bulletin Editor-in-chief and Print Layout Editor. 
 
These volunteer positions start immediately following our Annual General Meeting, on May 8th. 
 
Volunteers must be ABQLA members in good standing.  Job descriptions are attached.
 
The successful candidate would be part of a dedicated team of talented individuals!

Celebrate TD Canadian Children's Book Week with author/editor Sarah Harvey!

It’s going to be an eventful week with our annual conference May 8th  and a celebration of Canadian children’s authors and illustrators taking place all across the country.
 
Touring all week in Quebec, Sarah Harvey is the author of ten books and an experienced editor.
 
From Victoria, BC she will be speaking at Westmount Public Library, May 5th 7:00 pm.
 
The event is free with light refreshments and books will be sold by Livre Babar.

Kenneth Oppel will be visiting Beaconsfield Library to present his new novel:The Boundless

ABQLA was pleased to host a popular table at the annual McGill SIS Career Fair in Partnership with EBSI, held at the McGill University campus on April 2nd.
 
The ABQLA representatives were able to interact with many students from McGill & EBSI, highlighting the benefits of ABQLA membership and our annual Conference!
