Alberta Library Conference 2018 - Call for session proposals

The Alberta Library Conference (ALC) 2018 Planning Committee, with support from the Library Association of Alberta (LAA) and the Alberta Library Trustees Association (ALTA), is accepting proposals for the 2018 Alberta Library Conference. ALC 2018 takes place in Jasper, Alberta from April 26-29, 2018.

The conference theme for 2018 is “We Stand Up”.

Survey on Games in Public Libraries

Kayley Mcleod, a graduate student at McGill University in the School of Information Studies, invites you to participate in her research project entitled Every Game its Player and Every Player their Game: A Survey of Games in Canadian Public Libraries by completing a national survey of public library workers from diverse Canadian public libraries on their gaming programs and collections. The survey builds on the work of Dr. Scott Nicholson, a librarian and Professor of Game Design and Development at Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario.
