It is always difficult to throw out weeded books, but Book Art gives you a chance to repurpose them, decorate your library, and gets students involved in maker culture all at the same time! We will be demonstrating a variety of book art techniques including book sculpture, origami, and quilling.

Digital Literacy for Preschoolers: Maximizing the Benefits of eBooks in Emergent Literacy

A conference on digital literacy will be held on June 26-27, 2015 at McGill University in Montreal.

Registration opens March 1st, 2015.


The first day of this conference will feature talks on the following themes:

1) How do parents and children engage with eBooks?

Access is Canada’s premier library technology conference, bringing together librarians, technicians, developers, and programmers to discuss cutting-edge library technologies.

This is the 22nd year of Access and we’re thrilled to bring the conference to Toronto, Ontario! AccessYYZ will be held at the beautiful Bram and Bluma Appel Salon at the Toronto Reference Library from September 8-11, 2015.

The ABQLA student chapter invites you to attend a presentation from Dominique Naud, Communications Manager at CODE: The power and promise of literacy in the developing world

When: Friday February 20th at 11:30 AM-1:30PM

The talk will be preceded by a social starting at 11:00 AM
