Call for proposals

On behalf of the ABQLA Board of Directors we are thrilled to invite you to submit your proposals for your 2022 virtual conference to be held in May.

The theme of this year’s ABQLA conference is “Through the Looking Glass”.

This theme takes up the idea of living through a topsy-turvy time, navigating the uncertainties, adapting, and learning lessons, while it also refers to the time spent interacting with others while simultaneously staring at our own reflected images during Zoom meetings and conferences. It also evokes the notion of libraries as cultural and intellectual mirrors and windows, and blends it with the concept of self reflection that has always characterized the library professions but which is truly the leitmotif of our COVID 19 reality.

This year we seek proposals for presentations and posters that explore the adaptability and resilience of libraries and reflect on what we have learnt in the last 2 years and how we envisage serving our communities in our emerging futures.
