| Following Premier Francois Legault’s request to cancel all large public indoor gatherings until further notice as a means of slowing the spread of COVID-19, the Association de Bibliothécaires du Québec Library Association (ABQLA) has decided to postpone the 88th Annual Conference. Given the current uncertainty about when it will once again be safe and prudent to hold such an event, the new date of the conference remains to be determined and will be announced later.
We know that many of you eagerly await the conference each year, however it is important that we follow the advice of our public health authorities in order to slow the spread of the disease and to mitigate the pressures on our health system. We ask for your understanding, and if you should have any questions please contact us at abqla@abqla.qc.ca.
If you have already registered for the conference as an attendee, an exhibitor, or a sponsor, we will be contacting you shortly regarding a refund.
We look forward hosting to you at the conference when the situation has improved.

| Suite à la demande du Premier ministre François Legault d’annuler jusqu’à nouvel ordre tous les grands rassemblements publics tenus a l’intérieur afin de ralentir la propagation de COVID-19, l’Association des Bibliothécaires du Québec (ABQLA) a décidé de reporter le 88e congrès annuel. Étant donné l’incertitude actuelle quant à la date à laquelle il sera à nouveau sécuritaire et prudent d’organiser un tel événement, la nouvelle date du congrès reste à déterminer et sera annoncée ultérieurement.
Nous savons que beaucoup d’entre vous attendent le congrès avec impatience chaque année, mais il est important que nous suivions les conseils de nos autorités de santé publique afin de ralentir la propagation de la maladie et d’atténuer les pressions sur notre système de santé. Nous vous demandons votre compréhension et si vous avez des questions, n’hésitez pas à nous contacter à abqla@abqla.qc.ca.
Si vous vous êtes déjà inscrit au congrès en tant que participant, exposant ou commanditaire, nous vous contacterons prochainement pour vous rembourser.
