Alex returns with her friend Attius and another field guide in Is This a Tiger? Both entertaining and educational, the pair explore the natural world and meet tons of creatures in their search for a tiger. Each page features a different animal that Atticus thinks might be a tiger. Most of the story is told through dialogue, making it very accessible for children between 4 and 8 years old. The book is full of vibrant illustrations, wonderfully designed journal pages, and a lot of factual information about tigers. Children can learn a lot from this title and satisfy their curiosity about the natural world. Though it is a new installment in the Alex’s Field Guide series, Is This a Tiger? works wonderfully as a stand-alone book, too.
