I do not believe there is a library professional out there who has never read or, at the very least, seen a Franklin book. With stories that any child can relate to, coupled with a clear message on how to overcome challenges, it’s no wonder that Franklin is a favourite around the world. The six titles chosen for this collection were great picks, as they can be used to help children face and overcome big scary “firsts”, such as worries about the first day of school, being afraid of the dark, going to the hospital, or making new friends. As the title suggests, this collection would be a perfect read for storytime at any library catering to young children or for a nice read at home before bed.

The titles in this collection include: Franklin in the Dark, Franklin Goes to School, Franklin’s New Friends, Franklin Rides a Bike, Franklin Goes to the Hospital, and Franklin Says I Love You.
