17 Oct The Public Libraries Section Presents: A Chat About Quebec Libraries with CBC’s Sonali Karnick
This post is also available in: Français
ABQLA’s Public Libraries section is pleased to welcome CBC host Sonali Karnick, who will talk to us about her recent series on her show All in a Weekend in which she spoke to people from libraries across Quebec. Covering a wide range of different of libraries and the work they do, from Pointe-Claire Public Library’s program for adults with memory loss, to North Hatley’s small, 125-year-old library run almost entirely by volunteers, this series explored libraries in our province and the important role they play in their communities. Join us to hear from Sonali about her key takeaways from these interviews. The talk will be followed by a Q and A session.
After, we will have a short reception so we can all have a chance to network and catch up with colleagues. Light refreshments will be served.
And that’s not all! It’s been a long time since we’ve seen you, so to welcome everyone back, we will have a small raffle with book-ish prizes to be won! Everyone who RSVPs to the event will automatically be entered in the draw.
This is a free event open to all library professionals, students and volunteers. Please feel free to share the invitation!
