Eventually, they make it to school where the pancakes await, and all of Monster’s friends arrive soon after. With colorful depictions of monster creatures, I Will Not Walk to School is a unique picture book that takes an energetic and interactive approach to storytelling. The dialogue is in graphic novel-style speech bubbles, making the multiple illustrations on each page easy to follow. This book would be a good addition to a school or public library picture book collection.
