Nineteen-year-old Poet Graves’ future is set; as the daughter of ruling elite in New Manhattan betrothed in an arranged political marriage, she has very little freedom to choose her own path.

That all changes when she arrives at Amery Academy, and suddenly, her pre-written destiny changes entirely.

Concealing a dangerous secret, Poet must navigate both the brutal challenges the university sets and her future, which is becoming less and less certain with each day. When she meets Rook, an outsider from the group her family raised her to hate, everything changes.

Will her choices cost her her freedom?

This is an excellent read for fans of dark dystopian academia and forbidden romance, and books like Fourth Wing and The Hunger Games. It is age appropriate for 14+, as it has some romance scenes as well as scenes of violence, death, and abuse.
