Inspired by L. M. Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables, Anne Dares is the fifth installment in the An Anne Chapter Book series. Every part of this book was beautifully designed, from the hardcover underneath the book jacket, the endpaper design, chapter titles and page number illustrations, as well as the many illustrations throughout the story. While the storytelling is a little simplistic, losing the charm of the original novel, it is an excellent way to introduce younger children to the world of Anne of Green Gables, and transition from picture books to short chapter books. It will also look fabulous on your bookshelf.
