Olive has been feeling very sad since her friend moved away. Her grandfather proposes to send her friend a letter. Until this moment, there was a lonely green envelope in a drawer that was longing to be sent on an adventure. The Little Green Envelope follows the voyage of an envelope through the mail from coast to coast. The collage style and earthy colours give the sense of movement and depth, making it dynamic and beautiful. This book can be used as a companion in a lesson/craft about sending letters, making postcards or anything related to mail, in both a public library or school library setting. An activity for children to make their own envelopes is also included at the end of the story.
