Want to get more involved in your association? This year, the ABQLA is looking for new volunteers to fill a few open positions. Read on for descriptions of the positions, and apply if you’re interested!
Vice-President
Assists the President(s) in the discharge of presidential duties, including participating in meetings, coordinating with Directors and Committee Chairs, and overseeing the planning of events. Learns and contributes to Association policies, operations, and strategic priorities.
Secretary
Helps maintain effective governance through accurate records, including sending meeting notices, taking minutes, and coordinating the Annual Reporting process.
Director-at-large: Fundraising
Works with President(s) and Treasurer to develop and implement fundraising and donation management strategies to support the Association’s operations and responsibilities to the membership. chairs the Fundraising Committee.
Director of Internal Operations
Maintains internal documentation and supports strong record-keeping practices. Oversees Board of Directors onboarding processes and supports continuity in governance. Collaborates with the Secretary, Administrator, and Archives Committee to ensure internal systems are organized and compliant.
Director of Events
Coordinates professional learning opportunities and social events for Members. Plans programming that supports Member development and connection. Collaborates with the Director of Membership & Engagement to organize networking initiatives. Chairs the Professional Development and Events Committee.
